由於 T.J. Dillashaw 遭禁賽使其 Bantamweight champion 頭銜遭到移除，因此 Henry Cejudo 決定升重與當時 Bantamweight 排名第一的 Marlon Moraes 對戰，勝方將獲得暫時 vacant 的 UFC Bantamweight Championship。
UFC 238 在坐落於 Chicago, Illinois 的 United Center 如火如荼地進行，Henry Cejudo 在 main event 上以第三回合的 TKO 終結對手，成為 UFC 歷史第四位同時取得兩個量級冠軍腰帶的選手。事後 Henry Cejudo 更指出他在比賽前五天不幸扭傷腳踝，剩下的幾天都在進行治療以站上賽場；我想，他面對機會絕不輕易鬆手的態度正是他能一次又一次取得最高成就的最佳墊腳石。
由於肩傷使 Henry Cejudo 需要休養，他於 2019 年年末選擇放棄 Flyweight title 並專注於 bantamweight division 的賽事。他於 UFC 250 復出，預計對上曾於 Featherweight 建立十年不敗王朝的傳奇選手 José Aldo，但後者由於簽證問題退出比賽，因此 Henry Cejudo 在 UFC 249 (由於 COVID-19 疫情而延後至原訂 UFC 250 之舉行日期 May.09.2020) 對上 replacement 選手 Dominick Cruz。
第二回合結束前的一記膝擊 knockdown 對手，連續補拳後於回合結束前以 TKO 獲勝、完成 title defense。他在籠中的賽後訪問震撼宣布退役：
"I'm happy with my career. I've done enough in the sport. I want to walk away, I want to enjoy myself."
"Since I was 11 years old, I sacrificed my whole life to get where I am at today. I'm retiring tonight. I'm 33 years old, I'm happy with my career. Triple C's out."
或許，以當下的時空背景評斷、退役之舉稍嫌魯莽、時機之決定亦略顯草率，但我們需要知道的是，「Henry Cejudo 先是一個人、然後才是一位運動員，運動生涯之榮耀與成就固然重要、人生之圓滿才是終極追求」。
很多時候，選擇並沒有所謂的對錯，因為有太多因素需要衡量。當局者迷，但旁觀者也未必能窺得事情的全貌、更無法得知決定者的心態轉變與其內心深處的聲音。
時間過得很快，三年如白駒過隙、過眼雲煙。
再度於八角籠中出賽、再度打出高度競爭力的表現，他征服了 Prudential Center 一萬七千多名觀眾、Bruce Buffer 宣讀比賽結果時排山倒海的噓聲已證明一切。但這對於 Henry Cejudo 來說並不足夠，他在 post-fight press conference 中如是說：
"Typically the way I see it, if I don't dominate… like… It's just hard, man. I'm such a competitor, I don't think people realize."
"To me, it's all or nothing."
"If I'm not first, I'm last."
"I'm out (here) to chase greatness. I'm not out here just to fight, just to hear the crowds roar, you guy tell me ‘oh I think you won’. My dream is to reach mountains that nobody's every climb."
"I've been doing this since age 11 to age 33 at the highest level, and won everything I've ever desired to do. I'm not out here for the crowds, I'm out here to make history. If I can't make history, I'm not doing this."
