Watched a few auditions of "Thailand's got talent" on Youtube. I am sure she can win the judges' votes if she gives it a go. To win the semi-final and the final you also need public votes though. But with the support of the whole Suphanburi province, and with her adorable look and her voice of angel, I am sure she will be people's choice too.
Suphanburi is famous of its Dragon Descendants Museum. Crouching tiger, hidden dragon, Suphan has a hidden talent too. This place is also famous of its singers. It's praised by people as the "Land of singers" as there are many famous Thai singers are from Suphanburi like Pumpuang Duangchan, Sayan Sunya, Wipoj Petchsuphan, Ad Carabao and "Toon" of Bodyslam. Will she become one of them? Hey wait a minute, aren't you a football writer? Does it have anything to do with Thai football? YES! Thai football is so much fun isn't it?
- Artiwara "Toon" Kongmalai, the vocal of Thailand's famous band "Bodyslam", is from Suphanburi and a Suphanburi FC fan too.
The last stop of my previous Thai football trip was Suphanburi. I was on the field side to cover the match. A song kicked in when the match came to the half-time break. I was checking the other matches' results on my smartphone when the song started. And I was far away from the main stand where they did all the audio stuff. The song was great but they were just playing a tape - That's what I thought.
Before the match they played "Gonna fly now" of the Rocky movie series. It's a super-manly motivation song so it wasn't a bad idea to have a soothing touching song in the half time to switch people's mood for a while. That was an English song sung by a female singer. I've never heard of this song (My bad). I heard "Gonna fly" in the lyric too. Perhaps it was sung by Rocky's sister.
The song was played from the main stand. I approached from the other side of the field, not for the song, but for anything interesting that worth a video shot. Remember I thought they were playing a tape? So I was surprised if not shocked to find out that the song was actually performing live by a school girl.
She was singing the chorus and the song was about to finish. So I hurried up and put the remaining performance into a video. That video was only 1 minute long and shaky. But with post production it's now quite acceptable I think. Just listen to this.
- It was indeed my bad that I had never listened to a song that has 1 billion views on Youtube. Maprang wasn't signing the original version though. She was singing the "angel" version. Orignial version of the song is here：https://youtu.be/2vjPBrBU-TM。
- Two other songs performed by Maprang before. Gonna love them.
Her name is Boonyawan Cheamchoy. Her nickname is Maprang (Ma-prang). The name of the song is "Chandelier". The lyric seems a bit dark but Maprang's performance was sky white. She is just an angel. I wish she was my little sister. (Next page)
